POETRY AS PRAYER RETREATS
The Poetry as Prayer retreat is a 1.5-day immersion into musical magic and mysticism in service of aiding you in clarifying and manifesting your dreams. We’ll do this through a mix of group prayer, sacred singing, freestyle rap, and facilitated personal growth practices.
We’ve found that a practice of praying with others can be a transformational and empowering experience. We’ve also discovered that practicing prayer in the form of poetry and music can add even more potency and depth to the experience.
This retreat doesn’t require any experience with music, poetry or prayer, just a willingness to explore and grow in community. During the retreat, you’ll get to experience:
- Play in a salon of creators, seekers, and dreamers
- Premiere venue in Austin with pool, hot tub and sauna
- Overnight sleeping arrangements provided
- An intro to freestyle rap and sacred singing practices
- Invitations into individual and group prayer
- Tears, laughter, joy and connection
- The practice of sharing prayers with your loved ones
- Facilitated personal growth practices
- Sacred song circles
- A new tribe of creatives, artists, poets and leaders
- An invitation to embrace your inner poet/musician
- An exchange of talents and gifts with fellow healers
- Rediscover reverance for the sacred and profane
- A renewed connection with God/Spirit/Universe/Nature/Whatever
- A delicious community dinner and breakfast
- Tea and snacks served throughout the retreat
The next overnight retreat is April 1st & April 2nd and will take place at a beautiful venue in Austin, TX.

A lyrical intro to the experience by Mark
My work with the Poetry as Prayer Project has really transformed not only how I work with clients, but how I experience my voice and communication more generally. Since I’ve started working with the team, I’ve gotten the feedback from my friends that I seem more confident and authentically self-expressed.
